Cook-off

May 21, 2016« More activities from 2016

A little drizzly to start off with at Lincoln Park, but Scouts got their rain flies up and got to work cooking. Scouts and adults cooked 18 dutch ovens full of food. Lots of folks came to help us eat the food and we had lots of fun in the process. We also had two Webelos judges.

Scouts made pizza, peach cobbler, two tater tot casseroles (1 with a Mexican flavor), regular cornbread, Dixie cornbread, chocolate lava cake, coconut s’mores pie, donuts, and another bread dish.

Adults made Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding, Lemon-Lime Soda Apple Dumplings, Mount Diablo Mexican Casserole, Pizza Monkey Bread, Smothered Green Chile Pepper Chicken, Steve’s Breakfast Bonanza, Upside-Down Banana-Walnut French Toast, and Zucchini Bread. Sadly, we didn’t even get to the Brownies, Chili Dog Casserole, or Monkey Bread as we were obviously all starving by the end of the event.

After cleaning up, packing up, and sweeping the area, we were out by about 2pm. – MHG
