Wow – last night was epic! Troop 282 DELIVERED on the friendship fire and multiple adults and scouts were overheard saying it was the BEST friendship fire they had EVER been to!
Our last troop time of the day yesterday was “forest games “. I think we all thought it was going to be more active like capture the flag in the woods, and it turned out to be nature jeopardy. I was impressed with our older scouts who recognized that our troop needed something more engaging, they played some quick games and then came back to the camp early.
Our friendship fire was amazing! We ended up having two additional troops there with us and a chocolate fountain that drew quite a few members of the staff. The evening was filled with songs, and skits, and so much laughter, each patrol did a skit and Josie acted as MC ! We had three scouts get their rank advanced yesterday, both Harrison and Grayson got their tenderfoot rank, and Ezra earned his scout rank – we also sang happy birthday to Harrison!
This morning we started the day off with a “hot cocoa bar”, it was a “sweet” way to start the day with so many options for toppings!
